A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website or application. Cookies allow us to remember preferences, authenticate users, and measure audience. They are essential for modern internet operations.

Essential cookies (strictly necessary)
These cookies are indispensable for platform operation. Their placement does not require prior consent according to CNIL.
Sign-in (access_token, refresh_token, rt_session), remembering your cookie choice (rt_cookie_consent), temporary referral code (rf_referral_code)
Functional cookies
These cookies improve your experience by remembering your preferences and behaviors.
Preferred interface theme (light/dark), language preferences
Analytics cookies (with consent)
With your consent, we use PostHog (hosted in the European Union) to measure usage of the website and the application, spot what gets in the way in the interface and improve the service. These cookies set persistent identifiers (prefix 'ph_') to recognize returning visits. In the application, sessions are also recorded: navigation and interactions are linked to your account, but your inputs and sensitive content (messages, support tickets, identities) are masked before being sent. The public website records no sessions.

Server-side measurement (no cookie)
Regardless of your cookie choice, our server records certain events related to your account (payments, subscription, support tickets…) to monitor that the service runs properly. This tracking sets no cookie on your device and relies on our legitimate interest; you can object to it by writing to contact@renderthink.com.
Advertising cookies
RenderThink does not use advertising cookies for third-party advertising tracking.
3. Cookie lifespan
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: Stored on your device for a defined period (from a few days to several years)

You can control and/or delete cookies depending on your browser:

- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and site data
- Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage site data

Important: Deleting certain essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
5. Consent
Before depositing any analytics cookies, we ask for your consent via a banner displayed on your first visit. You have two choices of equal weight:
- Accept: audience measurement is enabled (analytics cookies and, in the application, session recording)
- Decline: only essential cookies needed for service functionality are deposited (equivalent to default behavior)
You can change your preferences at any time via the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer. Your choice is stored for a maximum of 13 months (CNIL recommendation).
6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party partners for:
- Payment: Stripe for transaction security
- Content: Cloudflare for resource optimization
7. Trackers and advertising tracking
RenderThink respects your privacy and:
- Does not use advertising trackers to follow you across the web
- Does not sell your browsing data to third-party advertisers
- Does not use advertising retargeting
