One view exported from ArchiCAD is enough: photorealism is no longer a rendering engine matter.

An image of the 3D window, nothing else

Archicad has no RenderThink plugin, and the workflow needs none: you save the 3D window as an image, preferably PNG, at the highest resolution you are willing to wait for, and drop the file into the Studio. No .pln file is sent, no library and no render settings are required. The plugin exists for SketchUp, InSitu and KitchenDraw; from Archicad, dropping an image gives the same result.

  1. Frame the 3D view and save it as an image

Camera at eye level, straight verticals, surface materials already applied: the render reads a light oak better than a neutral grey. Save the 3D window as PNG, at least 3,000 px wide.

  2. Drop it in and start the render

Drag the image into the project, pick the resolution, from 1K draft to 8K, and start every room of a project at once. Each render comes back in about a minute, the computation runs on our servers.

  3. Edit on the render, not on the model

Designate a zone with the brush or smart click and change the floor, a wall, a material or a product; add, replace or remove an object. The rest of the image does not move, nor does the Archicad model.

  4. Present through a link

Gather renders, before-and-after comparisons and the mood board in a presentation shared by secure link, with a password and expiry if you wish. The client opens it on any screen, without an account.

Setting up Archicad before sending

Resolution and format
PNG rather than JPEG, at least 3,000 px wide. Import: 10 MB and 8,192 px at most. A sharp base gives a sharp render.
Framing
Camera at eye level, perspective with straight verticals, no steep top-down angle: proportions stay those the client will see on site.
Surface materials
Apply surfaces close to the final project before saving: they guide the render. A material can be changed afterwards with the brush, on the render.
A clean view
No dimensions, annotations or visible section planes in the 3D window: everything drawn on the image ends up in the render.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a photorealistic render from Archicad with AI?

Save the Archicad 3D window as an image, preferably PNG, then drop the image on RenderThink. The photorealistic render comes back in about a minute, with natural light, reflections and computed materials, faithful to the volumes, dimensions and perspective of the view. No Archicad file is sent, only the image matters.

Do I need to set up a render engine or a graphics card?

No. The computation runs on our servers, nothing installs, and there are no materials to set, no lights to place and no computation time to watch on your machine. That is the difference with an engine such as V-Ray, Enscape or Twinmotion, which need a dedicated graphics card and training. Here the only skill expected is framing a view in Archicad.

Does the render respect my dimensions and layout?

Yes. The render starts from your image, not from a description: volumes, proportions, layout and perspective are those of the saved view. The surfaces applied in Archicad guide the render’s materials; to change one afterwards, brush editing works on the render, zone by zone, without touching the rest.

Can I start every room of a project at once?

Yes. Drop one image per view, living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, and start the batch: the renders come back together, ready to present, each in about a minute. The number of renders running in parallel depends on your plan.

How long does a render take, and how many credits?

From click to result, the median times measured in production in September 2026 are about 30 seconds in 1K, 40 seconds in 2K, 50 seconds in 4K and just over a minute in 8K, upscale included. Each render, edit or decoration uses credits included in your subscription, more in 4K and 8K; presentations and teamwork use none. The free 14-day trial includes credits.

How do I present the result to the client?

Gather the renders, a before-and-after comparison and the mood board in a presentation in your colours, shared by secure link, with a password and expiry date if you wish. The client opens it on phone, tablet or computer, without an account or installation, as often as they like.

Try it on your own project.
