The visual direction is settled on a board, filed in its project.

The moodboard editor: the “Bohemian” board, built from catalogue items, a rendered mood and its palette. “Design” is editing it at the same time and places a floor lamp on it.

On a computer or tablet, move the pieces: the board comes together as in the editor.

The moodboard that lives with your renders

  • Drag and drop

Assemble images, materials, shapes and text on a free canvas, with alignment, groups and layers.

  • With your catalog

Pick from a catalog of furniture and materials, or add your own visuals and backgrounds.

  • In the same presentation

Place the board in your client presentation, next to the renders: the client sees it there, and opens its interactive version through its secure link.

  • Your visuals too

The board is not limited to the catalog: add your site photos, your material samples and your references by dropping the file onto the canvas. Catalog items, for their part, go on cut out.

  • Multi-select and groups

Select several elements by dragging a frame, group them, move the whole set at once and reorder the layers: the board is reworked without falling apart.

  • The direction approved before the 3D

Get a mood approved before design work starts. A disagreement is settled on a board in minutes, not on a project that is already modelled.

How it works

  1. Compose your board

Drag and drop images, materials and products from your catalog.

  2. Refine the mood

Adjust colors, shapes and layout until it feels right.

  3. Move on to the project

Share the board through its link, or place it in the client presentation, next to your renders.

Frequently asked questions

What is a moodboard in interior design?

A moodboard gathers on a single page the images, materials, colours and references that set the tone of a project. It is there to get a direction approved before design work starts, at a point where no render exists yet and the client needs something to look at in order to decide.

What can I put on a board?

Products from the furniture and material catalog, your own images, backgrounds, shapes and text. The canvas is free: you move, resize, align, group and organise elements in layers, much as you would in a conventional layout tool.

Does the moodboard join the client presentation?

Yes, if you want it to. A Moodboard block places the board in the presentation, next to your renders: the client sees it in the document and opens its interactive version in one click, without creating an account. The moodboard also has its own secure link, to send on its own while the presentation does not exist yet.

Do I need a separate layout tool?

No. The board is composed inside RenderThink, straight in the browser. There is no font to install and no round-trip between a graphics tool and your project folder: the board lives in the project it belongs to, and downloads as an image or a PDF when you need a file.

Can I start from the moodboard and move on to the renders?

That is the intended path. The board sets the mood, the renders make it real, editing adjusts the finishes and the presentation gathers everything. Each step stays inside the same project, with nothing to re-import or rebuild from one step to the next.

Can several people build one board together?

Yes, at the same time. Two people edit the same moodboard live: each sees who is there, the other’s named cursor and what they select, and changes sync as they happen. The rest of the team follows the board live, read-only, and discusses it in its comment thread.
